How to get Online Birth Certificate, CRC, FRC, CNIC, Driving Licence, Car Number Plate in Pakistan (2025 – Guidelines)

In today’s digital Pakistan, many essential documents like Birth Certificate, CRC (Child Registration Certificate), FRC (Family Registration Certificate), CNIC, Driving Licence, and Car Number Plate can be applied for online, saving time and reducing long queues at government offices.

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to get each of these documents online:


✅ 1. How to Get Online Birth Certificate in Pakistan

Currently, Birth Certificates are issued by Union Councils, and online application is limited to checking status and downloading forms in some provinces.

🔹 Online Procedure (if available in your city):

  1. Visit your District Municipal Corporation or Local Government Website. For example:
  2. Fill online form (if option available) and download.
  3. Submit at Union Council along with:
    • CNICs of parents
    • Hospital birth certificate

NADRA’s online system allows full digital application for FRC.

  1. Go to: https://id.nadra.gov.pk
  2. Choose “Apply for FRC”.
  3. Select one of the three types:
    • By Birth (includes parents & siblings)
    • By Marriage (includes spouse & children)
    • By Adoption
  4. Fill in CNIC numbers of family members.

No biometric verification needed if CNICs are already registered.


✅ 4. How to Get Online CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card)

NADRA’s Pak-Identity portal allows new CNICs, renewals, reprints, and modifications online.

  1. Open https://id.nadra.gov.pk
  2. Register and log in.
  3. Choose CNIC service (new, renewal, modification, lost).

    • CRC or B-Form

Driving licences are now available through online portals in various provinces like Punjab, Sindh, and KPK.


🔹 Punjab (DLIMS Portal):

  1. Go to: https://dlims.punjab.gov.pk
  2. Register for Learner Licence online.
  3. Upload CNIC copy, photo, and medical form.
  4. Download printable learner licence.
  5. Book appointment for driving test online. 

Punjab Driving License Fees:

  • Learner’s License: Rs. 1,000 (increased from Rs. 60) 
  • Motorcycle License (5 years): Rs. 750 (renewal and fine)

🔹 Sindh (Driving License Sindh):

  1. Visit: https://dls.gos.pk
  2. Upload CNIC copy, photo, and medical form.
  3. Submit form for new/renewal.
  4. If new, Book test appointment online.
  5. Fill in CNIC and contact details.
  6. If renewal, wait for delivery.
  7. Visit center for biometric and driving test.

Sindh Driving License Fees:

  • Car + Motor Cycle (5 years): Rs. 1,860
  • Motorcycle (5 years): Rs. 660
  • Car (5 years): Rs. 1,260
  • Learner’s License:
    • Motorcycle: Rs. 50
    • Car: Rs. 100
