Shah Idrees Family Welfare Fund

Policy Guidelines

Introduction

The Shah Idrees Family Welfare Fund was established in 2020 with the purpose of providing financial support and assistance to active members of the Shah Idris family during times of need. The Fund serves as a collective mechanism to ensure the well-being, security, and social support of family members, fostering a sense of solidarity and shared responsibility. Through regular contributions from all eligible family members, the Fund ensures that necessary financial aid is available for significant family-related events, emergencies, and educational purposes.

Objective

The primary objective of the Shah Idrees Family Welfare Fund is to provide timely financial assistance to family members for various personal and family-related needs, ensuring financial stability during unforeseen circumstances.

Membership and Contributions

Eligibility: All Shah Idrees family members are eligible to participate in the Fund.

Contribution Amounts:

1. Male Members who are earning will contribute PKR 1,000 per month.
2. Female Members who are earning or married will contribute : PKR 500 per month.
3. Male Members who are earning but can’t afford to pay PKR 1,000 may pay PKR 500 per month.
4. Male/Female who are not earning/un-married but want to participate in funds may pay PKR 250 per month.

Payment Method:

Contributions should be submitted to the Fund’s designated account or treasury on a monthly basis.

Types of Members:

1. Active Members : Who pay regularly.
2. Semi Active members : Whose due outstanding with in 6 months period.
3. Non Active members : Who was enrolled initially but not contributing or stop contributing or his due outstanding beyond 6 months.
4. Non Members : Who were not enrolled yet.

Eligiblility for Financial Assitance

1. All Active members for themselves and thier immediate dependents.
2. Semi Active members whose contribution due not beyound 3 months for themselves and thier immediate dependents.

Financial Assitance Request/ Initiate cases

1. Eligible Members may submit request directly to Finance Manager or any committee member.
2. Committee members/Finance Mamager or any other members may submit the case on behalf of eligible members on realization of needs.

Fund Management

1. Committee Oversight: A committee of four elected family members is responsible for the management and approval of Fund disbursements.
2. Finance Manager should be appointed to manage all funds and disburse on approval of committee of four members.
3. Special Cases:
   • If a request falls outside the usual criteria, a special vote from all contributing members will be taken to ensure fair consideration or atleast be informed timely.
   • Funding to Non-Active Members or Non Members will be first approved by all four committee members and subsquently informed to all active members.
   • Active members may have the right to lodge complaint to committee members/Finance Manager if they observe mis use of funds.
4. Transparency: All transactions and decisions will be documented and shared with four committee members for record purpose.
5. Finance Manager will issue periodic statement of contributions to all individual members.

Disbursement of Funds

Eligibility for Assistance: Financial assistance may be granted for events or circumstances such as:

1. Childbirth-related expenses
2. Hospitalization
3. Accidental losses like snatching, robbery, theft, sudden loss of assets etc.
4. Un-employment for 6 months
5. Weddings
6. Educational expenses like Admission fees for higher educations (Once in a year)
7. Loan for three months periods
8. Other family-related emergencies

Amount of Financial Assistance:

1. Minimum: PKR 5,000
2. Maximum: PKR 20,000
3. On Special Request PKR 30,000

Amount of Financial Assistance to Madarsa for 1 Hifz ul Quran Student

1. Monthly 2,000 to Madarsa Jamiatul Rasheed (Lal Masjid Firdous Colony, Karachi)
